New Zealand High Temperature Superconductor Industry Association

Welcome to the New Zealand High Temperature Superconductivity Industry Association (NZ-HTSIA). Our aim is to build a significant high technology industry in New Zealand based on our current world-leading capability in High Temperature Superconductors (HTS). We are currently exporting scientific and industrial equipment based on HTS magnets and specialty cables for use in that equipment. In the future we will move into medical imaging equipment, power systems equipment, generators and motors all based on HTS.

The Association is an industry led incorporated society and represents New Zealand organisations and their international collaborators. We have national and international members drawn from the private sector, education and research, and government.

Join NZ-HTSIA and be part of establishing a global HTS industry based on New Zealand’s world-leading capability in research and its commercial application into high-value products.

"Congratulations to Dr Bob Buckley and Dr Jeff Tallon for receiving the inaugural Prime Minister’s Science Prize for their commitment to research in the field of high temperature superconductivity"
